Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assemble on a flat, clear surface.

1. Attach the handle: Align lower handle with deck brackets, secure with provided bolts and wrench.
2. Install the upper handle: Connect to lower handle, secure knobs.
3. Attach grass bag: Hook bag onto rear deck hooks; ensure secure fit.
4. Install mulching plug (if mulching): Insert plug into rear discharge opening.
5. Install side discharge chute (if side discharging): Attach to side discharge port.
6. Insert battery: Slide fully charged battery into battery compartment until it clicks.

WARNING! Ensure mower is turned off and battery is removed during assembly. Tighten all fasteners securely.

First-Time Operation

Before first mow, fully charge the battery and perform a safety check.

1. Charge battery: Connect charger to battery and AC outlet; charge until indicator shows full.
2. Adjust cutting height: Use lever to select desired height (start at highest setting for first mow).
3. Select function: Install mulching plug, grass bag, or side discharge chute as needed.
4. Insert safety key: Insert into slot near handle.
5. Start mower: Press and hold safety lever on handle, then press start button.

Controls and Settings

Mowing Functions

Select function based on lawn condition and preference.

1. Mulching: Install mulching plug. Cuts clippings finely and returns them to lawn as fertilizer.
2. Bagging: Attach grass collection bag. Collects clippings for disposal or composting.
3. Side Discharge: Install side discharge chute. Ejects clippings to the side for longer grass or wet conditions.

Tip: For best mulching results, mow when grass is dry and do not cut more than 1/3 of grass height at once.

Battery & Charging

56V ARC Lithium™ battery requires proper care for optimal performance.

1. Charging: Use only EGO rapid charger. Connect charger to battery, then plug into 120V outlet.
2. Storage: Store battery in a cool, dry place away from metal objects. Charge to 50% for long-term storage.
3. Runtime: Varies based on grass condition, height, and use of self-propelled drive.
4. Battery Gauge: Press button on battery to check remaining charge (4 LEDs = full, 1 LED = low).

WARNING! Do not expose battery to fire or water. Use only EGO-approved chargers. Do not charge below freezing (32°F/0°C).

Safety Features

Safety Key: Must be inserted to operate mower. Safety Lever: Blade stops within 3 seconds of release. Blade Brake Clutch: Stops blade while allowing wheels to move (for self-propelled models).

Care & Storage

After each use: Clean underside of deck (remove battery first). Check blade for damage. Store in a dry place.

End of Season: Fully charge battery, clean mower thoroughly, inspect blade, store in a dry location. Consider professional blade sharpening or replacement.
