Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assemble on a flat, clear surface.

1. Attach the Handle: Align lower handle with deck mounts, secure with provided bolts and wrench.
2. Install Upper Handle: Connect to lower handle, secure knobs. Adjust to comfortable height.
3. Attach Grass Bag: Hook bag frame onto rear deck mounts. Ensure it clicks into place.
4. Install Battery: Insert fully charged battery into compartment until it locks.
5. Check Wheels: Ensure all wheels are securely attached and rotate freely.

WARNING! Keep hands and feet clear of cutting blade during assembly. Ensure mower is powered OFF and battery is removed when attaching components.

First-Time Operation

Before first mow, perform a safety check and familiarize yourself with controls.

1. Charge Battery: Fully charge the battery using the included charger before first use.
2. Select Cutting Mode: Install mulching plug, bag, or side discharge chute as desired.
3. Adjust Cutting Height: Use the single lever to set all wheels to the desired height.
4. Insert Safety Key: Insert the safety key into the slot on the control panel.
5. Start Mower: Hold the safety bail lever against the handle, then press the start button.
6. Engage Self-Propulsion: Squeeze the drive control lever to engage wheel drive; adjust speed with the variable speed dial.

CAUTION! Always mow in clear daylight or with headlights on. Clear the lawn of debris before mowing.

Controls and Settings

Handle Controls: Safety Bail Lever, Start Button, Drive Control Lever, Variable Speed Dial, Battery Fuel Gauge.

Operation: The mower will only run when the Safety Bail Lever is held against the handle. Releasing it stops the blade immediately.

Self-Propulsion: Squeeze the Drive Control Lever to engage wheel drive. Rotate the Variable Speed Dial on the handle to set walking speed.

Height Adjustment: Use the single lever near the wheels to simultaneously adjust cutting height for all four wheels. Choose from 6 positions.

Cutting Mode Selector: Install the appropriate accessory: Mulching Plug for recycling clippings, Collection Bag for catching clippings, or Side Discharge Chute for ejecting clippings to the side.

Battery & Charging

The 56V ARC Lithium™ battery is removable and rechargeable.

1. Charging: Use only the EGO rapid charger. Plug charger into outlet, then insert battery. Charger light will indicate status (red=charging, green=complete).
2. Battery Gauge: Press the button on the battery or check the fuel gauge on the handle to see remaining charge level.
3. Storage: Store battery in a cool, dry place away from metal objects. For long-term storage, charge to about 50%.
4. Safety: Do not expose battery to fire, water, or extreme temperatures. Do not use damaged batteries.

Tip: For best performance and battery life, charge the battery at room temperature.

Mowing Operations

Supports mulching, bagging, and side-discharge.

1. Pre-Mow Check: Clear lawn of sticks, stones, and toys. Ensure cutting height is set correctly.
2. Starting: Insert safety key, hold bail lever, press start button.
3. Mowing Pattern: Overlap each pass by a few inches for even cutting. Change direction periodically.
4. Engaging Drive: Squeeze drive lever and adjust speed for comfortable walking pace.
5. Emptying Bag: Stop mower, remove safety key. Empty bag when the bag-full indicator is visible.
6. Switching Modes: Always turn mower OFF and remove battery before changing between mulch, bag, or side-discharge.
7. Slopes: Mow across slopes, not up and down, for stability. Use slower speed on inclines.

WARNING! Never operate without the proper cutting accessory installed. Never put hands or feet near the discharge chute or under the deck while the mower is running.

Maintenance & Storage

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

• After Each Use: Clean grass clippings from deck underside (with mower OFF and battery removed). Wipe down the mower.
• Blade Care: Periodically inspect the blade for dullness or damage. Sharpen or replace as needed. Always disconnect battery before servicing the blade.
• Wheel & Bearing Check: Ensure wheels rotate freely and are not loose.
• End-of-Season Storage: Fully clean the mower. Charge battery to approx. 50%. Store in a cool, dry place. Consider removing battery for separate storage.

CAUTION! Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance. The blade is sharp; handle with care.
