Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assemble on a flat, clear surface.

1. Attach Lower Handle: Secure to deck using provided bolts and wrench.
2. Install Upper Handle: Connect to lower handle, tighten knobs.
3. Attach Grass Bag: Hook bag frame onto rear deck hooks.
4. Install Mulching Plug: Insert into rear discharge opening for mulch mode.
5. Insert Battery: Place charged 56V battery into compartment until it clicks.
6. Adjust Cutting Height: Set lever to desired position (test on a small area first).

WARNING! Ensure mower is powered OFF and battery is removed during assembly. Keep hands clear of blade area.

First-Time Operation

Fully charge battery before first use. Conduct a safety check.

1. Insert Safety Key: Push into slot near handle.
2. Select Mowing Mode: Install mulching plug, bag, or attach side chute.
3. Adjust Height: Set cutting height appropriate for grass condition.
4. Start Mower: Press and hold safety lever, then press start button.
5. Engage Drive: Squeeze drive control lever to activate self-propelled motion.
6. Mow: Overlap passes slightly for even cutting. Empty bag when full.

Controls and Settings

1. Charging: Insert battery into charger. LED indicates status (red=charging, green=full).
2. Run Time: Varies by battery Ah rating (e.g., 5.0Ah battery provides ~45 minutes of runtime).
3. Storage: Store battery in cool, dry place. Charge fully before long storage.
4. Fuel Gauge: Press button on battery to see remaining charge (4 LEDs = full).

WARNING! Do not use damaged batteries or chargers. Do not expose battery to fire or water.

Safety Features

Safety Key: Required to start mower. Remove to prevent unauthorized use. Safety Lever: Blade stops within 3 seconds of release. Blade Brake System: Automatically stops blade when lever is released. Tip-Over Protection: Motor stops if mower is tipped.

Care & Maintenance

After each use: Clean deck underside (mower OFF, battery removed). Check blade for damage. Periodically: Inspect wheels and hardware for tightness. Sharpen or replace blade as needed (use genuine EGO parts).
